When questioned about Pant’s lackluster performance, LSG mentor Zaheer Khan emphasized the necessity of supporting Pant, asserting his role as the team captain. Khan expressed confidence in Pant’s capabilities, both as a leader and a player. “We always find a way as he is our captain. Everyone has expectations from him and I believe the way he has done well as a captain, he will also contribute as a player,” Khan remarked during a post-match press conference.
Challenges with the Home Ground Pitch
Zaheer expressed dissatisfaction with the pitch at their home ground, especially after a disappointing loss to the Punjab Kings. He noted the pitch had undue advantage resembling that crafted by a Punjab-based curator, which frustrated both players and fans alike.

Currently stationed at the sixth spot in the league, LSG only boasts one victory out of three games, coupled with a negative net run rate. Despite these setbacks, Khan maintains a hopeful outlook for future matches at their home ground. “From now, setting parameters and aiming high in our home games will be our key strategy,” he explained.
