Under BCCI’s latest regulations, the immediate family members of cricket players — their spouses and children — are allowed to accompany them only for two weeks following the initial fortnight of a tour lasting more than 45 days. For shorter tours, the duration allowed for family visits is capped at a week.

Saba Karim pointed out that while it’s crucial for players to spend time with their families, finding an optimal balance is necessary. “The differing needs of players must be considered alongside the historical context of these regulations.
